En la misma d\u00e9cada, funda con Figueroa Pukara Cine, una empresa productora con la que realizan, entre otros filmes, <em>Los Perros Hambrientos<\/em> (1976) y <em>Yawar Fiesta<\/em> (1979). En 1982, cofunda el Grupo Chaski con Stefan Kaspar, Alejandro Legaspi, Fernando Barreto y Fernando Espinoza. Posteriormente, junto a Micha Torres, funda el primer colectivo de mujeres cineastas del Per\u00fa: Warmi Cine y Video. Su cine, que transita entre el documental y la ficci\u00f3n, muestra su compromiso y el v\u00ednculo que ha cultivado con mujeres de organizaciones de base,&nbsp; trabajadoras del hogar, campesinas y obreras. Su obra audiovisual se ha empezado a preservar en el 2022 gracias a la El\u00edas Querejeta Zine Eskola (San Sebasti\u00e1n) y al est\u00edmulo del Concurso Nacional de Proyectos de Preservaci\u00f3n Audiovisual-DAFO-Ministerio de Cultura del Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/centrocultural.pucp.edu.pe\/galeriavirtual\/maria-barea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bio-filmograf\u00eda<\/a><\/strong> de Mar\u00eda Barea se encuentra en el archivo online \u201cRebeldes y Valientes\u201d coordinado por Gabriela
